The two core features of a tracked skid steer loader can be seen from its name: a tracked walking system and a skid steer system. Its tracked walking system is completely different from common wheel loaders, consisting of tracks, drive wheels, support wheels, idler wheels, and tensioning devices. Tracks are like putting "iron shoes" on loaders, greatly increasing the contact area with the ground and reducing the ground pressure. Even on muddy, soft, sandy and other harsh surfaces, they can walk on flat ground and avoid getting into trouble.
The sliding steering method is one of its major highlights. Traditional wheel loaders rely on the differential speed between the front and rear axles to achieve steering, while tracked skid steer loaders control the different speeds or even reverse rotation of the tracks on both sides to achieve stationary steering, just like walking horizontally on the ground. This unique turning method allows it to flexibly adjust direction and easily complete various complex operations in narrow spaces such as indoors, alleys, city streets, etc., greatly improving work efficiency.
